Just received a package this afternoon from my brother in Wisconsin. Included in the box was my first pair of real cycling shoes. I left them in his garage attic 29 years ago, when I moved to CA, and was surprised he still had them. Diadora mesh shoes with then (around 1983), unusual velcro straps. Don't remember the model name for these shoes. But "Milano" seems to ring a bell.....
Really got some miles on these, as evident on the really beat up cleat bottoms and heels. Went with clipless pedals around 1985 and did not use these after that.
Was surprised when I tried them on this evening..... the dang things still fit me!
Now will they hold up if I use them on my bikes with clipped pedals??.....or Aslplode in balck clouds of nylon mesh and smithereenies??!

I got two in Tron blue.
I know , I know!
I live in the land of scooters and they were only US$2.00, okay? I am recovering from an injury by riding bicycles. I love these bicycle toys that cost nothing.
They might save my life! (hadn't had the courage to wear them yet today. Maybe tomorrow).

If calculations are correct then cable, housing, and tapered Record brake lever ferrules are all thatís needed before rebuilding the Gary Hale commences!

Hope the bar tape works out,.....
Someone in this forum recently tried it out on his latest build and the results, aesthetically did not look that good, despite what looked like a very interesting pattern on the tape, when still rolled up...... He and I agreed it kinda looked too much like a dish towel when installed, because of the pattern. He decided to take it off and install something else instead...
Maybe it could work out with your particular bike anyway,......just thought you should know before you install it....

I already had a couple of Suntours of similar vintage (GT and V-GT Luxe), but this is the one I've wanted for a long while. I can't get over how beautiful it is. And light. Oh and yeah, it doesn't shift too shabbily either.

Enjoy the anticipation...and the arrival...

This really nice Deore front derailleur arrived the other day. One more small part for my Kellogg Ross.

This sticker/decal arrived today. It will be a nice replacement if I ever decide to go whole hog on my Bertin. Thanks Law!

We could always ask them. But I guess that's why you like your Elektra hubs.
