A very kind & generous offering from a thoughtful forum member (thank you so much Brad). I’m truly excited for the first two items collected against the build list while getting this project underway...

Benotto pantographed bars in comfortable dimensions & a lovely Silca pump in the perfect size & color.

I'm glad it found a good home...
As I recall, it came out of a barn filled with old motorbikes near Shakespeare Ont in the late 80's
I think I grabbed a Honda Dream on that trip as well.

I decided I'd try some of these colored O rings to add a hint of color to my brakes. I was surprised by these great stickers

Nothing in the mail today, but I played a week and a half of email tag with a CL seller to finally get my hands on this today. It’s a new-in-box Sachs 7s 13-30 freewheel. Woo hoo!

Ooooohhhh.
I have a lined long sleeve jersey and a lightweight riding jacket with that same design.
Very, very visible, gets a lot of comments from the ladies.

Do you have the special wrench for that headset or are you going to have to improvise? Did that headset come with sealed bearings? ... I can't remember.

i do now but when i didnt, i ended up marring a lock ring on another 600 headset I had.
EVen though I used a rag, the channel locks left marks because it was on there tight.
I do not know if this headset should have a seal. It didn't come with them. They are just open caged bearings

I use a thick piece of thick belt leather, sometimes with a plastic milk jug shim, you can tape them to the channel locks, these are tough because the bumps stick out.

Is there a step or groove in the cups?

...you really need two for most of the original headsets. There was a guy who was custom cutting copies of the originals, from aluminum stock. But he seems to have disappeared.

I got an original. I only have none though. I missed a set of 2 in original pouch by 50 cents.
