Old school.

The freewheel came today. The loopy L cable guide two days ago. The open C Sport rd and guide came from the Madison swap. The open C lever came a year ago.

These are to turn my Sport bike into a Gran Sport.

Origin 8 Gary Bar (second version) and Tektro RL340 levers in black. I am at last building a drop bar mtn bike! These are going on a late 80s Giant Iguana. Now I'm just waiting on yellow cable housing.

Yesterday, I received a belated birthday present!
A Priority Mail box stuffed with hand tools, bike tools, spares, a couple bike computers, etc., and a fantastic and funny birthday card from GlennFordx4 and his lady. What a great surprise!

It was like a box of gold to a DIYer and engineer. It's been frustrating not being able to do much since the loss of my tools and gear. Very classy of you Glenn!!

3TTT TdF handlebar. The previous owner used it as a place to stash a couple extra spokes.

A Mondia Special finally arrived today from an Ebay Seller in Poland. Haven't quite figured out what year it is, but I think it might be mid-70's? Decals are peeling off and has the orig paint job. Not too many braze-on's, except for the derailleur cable guides on the BB & bottle bosses. Stamped 'Piazza' Dropouts. Headbadge only says Mondia & not Super Mondia, so I don't think it a high-end frame. I actually got it just for the Badge, since they're so scarce. I want to put the badge on another Mondia I have that has none. The things you gotta do to to 'fill the bill'...!

Prolly repaint & decal the frame & outfit it w/ spare parts & move-it. Not sure what tubing it is & there are no tubing decals present, although, Mondia usually supplied Reynolds tubing. If anyone has an way of ID-ing the tubing type, I'd sure like to know.

A pair of Challenge Triathlon tubulars, one new, one barely used, for less than the price of one new.

I got some Modolo Sporting non-aero brake levers in the mail yesterday. I have no idea what I'll use them for, and I know they aren't top-of-the-line, but the price seemed reasonable and they are in excellent (perhaps NOS) condition. Also, for some reason, I appear to have a soft spot for Modolo stuff.

A couple days ago I got some Shimano 600 brake calipers for a Bianchi mutt build I'm doing for my son.

You got one! Let us know how you like riding it.

I didn't get anything special lately, just a shiny new chain for my rando-build, along with an extra 13-28T cassette and 7-speed freehub body. Future-proofing, I guess.

I just noticed this, I think the crappy part is a reference I made in a different thread about most people having a distaste for Victory and Triomphe. I happen to like it for the most part except the cranks only came in 170 that is the best part of the group.

These are great looking shifters. You don't often see actual Triomphe models that often
