Those Triomphe shifter aren't even close to being crappy nor fugly.... I never had a "distaste for the two Campy gruppos either. As far as I knew, they worked well and looked good on most bikes they were installed on in the 80's.
Unfortunately, the Triomphe and Victory lines were kind of the victim of snobbery from Campagnolo's own fan base as they could not accept that Campagnolo would even dare to issue what were considered "budget" gruppos back then. It was just NR or SR and that's it for most of them.

Did I thank SouthpawBoston for the derailleurs? Can't remember. Anyway, Southpaw sent me a Nuovo Record front which I was hoping to try to repair a sticky pivot and send back to him, but he said to keep it. Thanks SouthPawBoston.

These are great looking shifters. You don't often see actual Triomphe models that often
I agree. I think they're much better looking than say Campy 980 or most Suntour (sorry Suntour fans!).

My Centaurs came on Saturday and they didn't include housings either.

Bought a brand new Campy set at the swap meet though for $20.

OH not at all I got it real quick.

I haven't been posting here but not really buying much. I got a great set of wheels from Echo but didn't post them. I also got this FW fron Zach for the Ugly Betty Portacatena project, goofy colored presta caps from ebay, some cheesy rim polishers from 16Victor and a great Park hanger tool from b dub

Geez, a bunch. We went to Vegas for a couple of days and it showered bikes and parts: a 22" Prologue frame (it was supposed to be a 23", but whatever), four quill stems, a Sante 7 speed freewheel, a pair of 126/100 Shimano skewers, a box from Robbie with bars and a stem, and...an '89 ADR replica Bottecchia. The purple and yellow one (Mrs. Doc is scandalized!). Not the low-end one, the one in SL with chrome fork and chainstay, without the hidden rear brake cable.

^ I had one of those ADRs. Really nice ride. Would've kept it if it hadn't been a little too big.

I guess you can't wait for cat and mouse riding to begin, cause that stuff is for your husband's bike, right?
