Yet another set of old school Cannondale Panniers.

However, these are the smaller ones that are able to fit on front racks.

I'll show it when it arrives in a few days.

It's not in hand yet, so I should stay conservative.

It's pretty neat though.

I think I have a line on some that were "gently" used.

I have decided to ride this or the Merckx to Ely this summer.

Our route is about 270 miles. 90% on gravel.

The Merckx is cool (and should be assembled this weekend) but I'm not sure I could stay off the other.

Thanks for the Merckx update!

Starting to get super excited to ride that one.

The only thing that will stop the other build will be the bike fund.

I will have to build a set of wheels and that can get spendy.

I'll likely overbuild the set for this bicycle.

This thing:

Not C&V, as this is one of the very first batch produced (Kickstarter Project - Spurcycle) - but I feel that the clean lines and quality all-metal construction could find it at home on a nice classic build, albeit not a period-correct embellishment as might be a more classic French or Japanese bell. On my Proctor, next to the modern CNC stem, I'm hardly sweating not-period-correct.

Pricey, but very bright tone, very nice look, USA made, seems all around a solid and usable item.

We ended up with two of those.

Incredibly well built product.

Here is a shot from the previous owner.

It will take me a while to put together all of the pieces for the build.

The frameset is very handsome in person.

Some mayor league awesomeness. Knowing your fondness for gravel grinders this must be a great base for a build.

Thanks.

Our roads in the Twin Cities have degenerated into Jeep paths that should only be occasioned by truly hearty vehicles.

I will sincerely go all out on this one to make it the best all road bicycle I can afford.

It may take me a bit, but I'll end up with a fairly quick and agile performer.

Should be fun.

The frameset is very handsome online as well. I love the angles, fenders and disc mounts. And the color. How fat is the tire clearance? Enjoy.

Funny actually just as I clicked onto this thread to see what people got in, I heard the postman at the door and received some ball bearings I ordered. still waiting on a set of wheels and a chain. Tomorrow hopefully fingers crossed.
