One of mine too, Bikedued. The seller, in Denver, related to me that he found it mounted to an old trainer, very dusty, in a basement at an estate sale. It has a sticker on the seat tube from The Spoke bike shop in Boulder - which has it seems been closed for many years. It is in amazingly original and clean condition. The frame number (0392) and certain details of decal placement make it possible this is one of the bikes Eisentraut built under contract. I don't know, and it really doesn't matter. I put air in the tires, lubed the chain and freewheel and took it for a short ride just a bit ago. Wonderful! I feel so fortunate to have become its steward.

Weinmann Carrera 400 sidepull brakeset for my Peugeot PY10FC project from an eBay seller in Germany. It was being sold at a very good price, so I just cannot resist buying it and I will use it on the project instead of the spare Spidel LS2's I had in my stash. From the looks of it, the Carrera 400's looks to be very similar in quality to the Spidel LS2's, but I still think the Spidel's a more elegant/sophisticated design. It will be interesting to compare the performance of the two brakesets on my bikes once I finish the PY10FC. Carrera 400's were standard on the PY10FCs and were also used by the Peugeot team pros in the 80's on their bikes. They certainly are much better finished and look more robust than all the other sidepull models that Weinmann made.
The set's used, but very well preserved. Levers are pristine and so are the calipers. I only have to find fresh hoods which are a bit dried out and get a set of new replacement pads and they should be back to new condition....

I bought this Shimano XT FD-M735 front derailleur off the internet.
Wasn't labeled NOS, but it sure looks unused to me. I polished up the aluminum parts and will mount to my 1992 Specialized Hardrock. I bought the same model rear derailleur recently at a local bike swap/street fair.

Today my Bridgestone RB-T arrived...in the last couple of weeks, two of my grail type bikes came into my life...the RB-1 and the RB-T...RB-1 as a whole bike (but will be rebuilt) and the RB-T as a frame/fork set...but, both at reasonable prices...here is the RB-T...

this arrived today....a completely virgin 1986 Schwinn Cimarron. I can't wait to clean it up. My god, it's a 28 year old new bike. Whoo-Hoo! My other Cimarron will be so happy!

This is a single speed, fixed gear road bike; track legal but really not meant for the velodrome. It will have brakes; but i haven't quite decided what.

In my never-ending quest to understand the cycling scene in England in the early- to mid-twentieth century, I managed to snag (yet) more CTC literature. This time I got nine route books that were advertised as being from the 1930's. They are in exceptional condition for the purported age.

Genuine Weinmann brake cables and casings with internal lining and clear cover.from the 80's.....!
Dang!, they turned out to be tinted a darkish pink!
I thought it was just the plastic packaging hinting at some color on the auction pics.......I really should have asked the seller!
Maybe, if I left it in the sun for a while the pink will fade away??

This came in the mail yesterday:
My first ever full custom, a lightweight 650B frame built by Jeff Lyon. His L'Avecaise is his 'budget model', which gets a few time-saving choices and 'only' about 75% of the filing time as his full Jeff Lyon customs. But it's all custom, and his 75% time spent filing still works out to a bike with 95% the level of refined detail.
An example of Jeff's attention to detail.
The wire guides were spec'd to the 3mm coaxial generator wire I'll be using.
My modified Lezyne Road Drive pump (a fantastic, lightweight CNC milled pump. They're not made for pegs, but the addition of a coaxial spring around the shaft inside the handle easily takes care of that).
The color is VW/Porsche Dove Blue. Sadly it'll be a few weeks before I can start building it up... but I plan to get most of the summer season on it.
