Gorgeous.
Pictures never do that frameset justice. There are a couple of those in town that I have seen up close. One of which is at Angry Catfish, an excellent bike shop I frequent. The other one, which I have ridden extensively, is my buddy's favorite Italian ride next to his C59 disc. The Duende is a bike that should be ridden hard. Its charm and performance attributes really come out and I think you may find it is one the better handling bicycles you have ridden.
A bit of advice if I may? Try a Compass tire that will fit in the stays. They really make a bike perform and are very comfortable as well.
Thanks Grady, 25's were too big, it will be my skinny tire go fast bike.

Set of Shimano R650 47-57mm brakes, and (the pièce de résistance) a Dura Ace 7700 GS (medium cage) derailleur, from RobbieTunes.

Just what I need to clinch the *somewhat* vintage outfit of Dura Ace 7700 on my recent Ti road project, a modern Bill Holland.
I've been seeking one of these derailleurs for some time, and they are not easy to come by in this condition. Wonderful piece.

Perhaps not bicycle related, but definitely classic-vintage. Too bad it's only 1:18 scale.

This is a photo of the original.

Finally got a Weinmann rear brake cable stop, to replace the (3/4" shorter) original one on my '77 Record. My '71 Record came with the longer Weinmann, and the bend in the rear cable housing is much smoother, and the '71's rear brake works much better. Hope this will improve the rear brake. Also got an older SA trigger shifter.

Sorry I had it confused with the other car wearing those colors. Try not to let it bother you too much
. A 2x3 inch screen didn't help either.,,BD

If you ever get a chance, I also recommend the German Auto History Museum in Amerang, Bayern.
Be prepared to spend the entire day, we did.

Also, if you ever get a chance to fire a 917, make sure the oil filter is secure. The flat-12 design has the oil filter at the same level as the pan. Makes a big mess if not on correctly.

My only pictures from that place are old fashioned film and prints. I was there long before digital photos.

My wife's family members were former owners of two of the cars there.

That must be cool to actually have a personal family history with some of the cars on display.

And this that I couldn't resist for $15. Probably the closest I'll ever get to one.
