As the saying goes, “everything has a price.”

I think we’re both pretty lucky to have one now!

Interesting that both saddles came from the same eBay seller, and he’s got a Turbo in red suede right now that looks NOS. That one is a little too rich for my tastes.

A exotic bit of French wonderfulness with titanium bits arrived today!!! A Satri-Gallet 27 mm seatpost. A bit of trivia, Satri supplied this seatpost branded as a Huret for a while, this will go well with my Huret Jubilee derailleurs for the "Team Franco-American SpaghettiOs" project.

By the way, about that Record saddle, I recently recovered a similar one for @52telecaster, who got it with a 1960 Bianchi. To my mind, that date seems more likely than 1970; but (to be sure) I don't know.

Yeah, I was just going by the fact that when I acquired it, it was attached to a 1971 Atala Competizione I bought for its parts. I don't recall if the owner of the Atala had owned the bike since new, but he'd had it a good long while. My guess is that like Brooks, Ideale, and others, these lesser known saddles probably changed little in construction or features for many years.

So cool! Is 140 the ideal number for crankarms length for you now? Glad to read you are going to be able to get good miles this summer.

Well, 140 is the number I was able to get! I also have a compact double in a 150 that I get to try out this year after having my revision surgery. For the last 3 years, I've been pushing a 137mm with about a 10 km maximum. Thanks.

My all time favorite, bought a 135mm for a too small bike in HS. Have a few in stock.

Arrived today, GB Forged Hiduminium stem, 3 1/2" (89 mm), 262 grams, 1950 - 1960's.
This one is destined for my Bob Jackson, the "spearpoint" stem will go well with the arrowhead lugs.

Thanks! I’m trying to remember if that’s what mine has on it. It came on a 61 Raleigh Gran Sport. They are beauts and elegant stems.
