I'm sorry, all I'm seeing is "the person moved or deleted this image"

And I think the Euclid group is the coolest overbuilt group evAr.

Pictures fixed.

The Hubs look just like C-Records but the rears are spaced to 135.

I don't think any US companies ever speced campy on an MTB during the short time that campy was making mtb groups.

those brake levers look.. interesting.. and the double ubrakes will definitely make finding the right frame a tricky task. The thumbies look pretty sweet though.. let's see the derailleurs and hubs!

I'll post more pictures this week end. Those brake handles are HUGE, as big or bigger than motorcylce levers.

Where are the derailleurs?

Mike,

I can see you now shifting into that granny and a 28T or 30T big cog in the rear in order to make it to the top of those canal overpasses in Coral Gables.

Which buried treasure map did you use in order to unearth that in greater Miami?

That's a fantastic find that needs to live on a C&V MTB in the mountains, not the flats of southeast Florida!

There were a few US MTBs with Campy.
I remember drooling over a Team Fat Chance 10th Anniversary with Record OR.
Serotta, Fisher, Lemond, and Merlin also had Campy equipped MTBs. And I think there was a special edition Ross too.

IIRC, there was Euclid and Centaur early on. Then they added Olympus. Before leaving the MTB market, Campy had three groups: Record OR, Icarus and Centaur.

Campy MTB stuff was very very pretty, silky smooth, heavy, and definitely lacking in shifting and braking performance relative to Shimano and Suntour. Those brake levers look big enough to stop a battle ship (compared to the minimalist Diacomp SS5 of the same era).

On my Trek 8500, I have a combination of Record OR, and Euclid on the MTB. Unfortunately, the Campagnolo MTB look too nice to go off road! Beautiful set of objet d'art Campagnolo Euclid components!

Now, would you take this gorgeous Campy group off the road, or just look at the bike?

Ah, i guess I was thinking mostly of the 'mainstream' companies who seem to almost universally have chosen shimano and maybe a token suntour bike

gioscinelli did that campy stuff come stock on your 8500?

I bought the Trek with the Campagnolo MTB on the bike. The previous owner installed and probably rode the bike around the block and hung it up until I purchased the bike. Here's a link to see the whole bike now and original condition!

Michael Angelo, you're going to find that after assembling the parts on your bike that it's toooo nice to ride!
