F. Moser San Cristobal bike
Hi all,
I'm new here. I just bought a F.moser san cristobal on ebay. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ws/eBayIS...ht_10195wt_922
Can anyone tell me about the quality of F.moser bikes, if mine is worth collecting or putting more money into? Thanks

not sure if this model is correctly called 'San Cristobal' or something else, but...Mosers are generally very nice bikes. This one, based on the mid-grade components and the Columbus decal that I can't read (but looks to be different from a standard "SL" tubeset decal) I'd guess might be something a little below the top tier.
However, that doesn't mean it's not going to be a great ride, plus it looks to be in good condition.
You might want to give it a little time and see how you like it before pumping a lot into upgrades, but I suspect it will be satisfying.

Many Mosers don't carry a model name, but if you want to put one on it, just get a decal that says "well built frame" and apply it. Moser made some real nice stuff. Unheralded in lots of places, market isn't always that high, but known to ride quite well.

I have only one catalog to go by, courtesy of Mark Bulgier, and many models seem to be named for the gruppo installed: since yours has more Gipiemme than Campy Gran Sport, it might be something like this "Modello Special" which is a Columbus Tre-tubi frame (3 main tubes SL, remainder something else, probably Falck tubing)
https://www.bulgier.net/pics/bike/Catalogs/moser/9a.jpg
However, many of the "lower-than-all-SL" frames don't have complete chrome forks, yours might be a different year but might also have come with paint that has been stripped.
What size is the (GPM) seatpost?
