I have a Diamant Leaderman frame here that I would like to find out more about. Nice simple lug work , B/B is a Cinelli "winged B/B with Diamant cast into the top of the B/B cage. Forks are Zeus? with Campag drop outs. Photos to come in a little while

I had a German guy at work this morning getting an old Giant Yukon panniered up for his tour around NZ, he wanted a second hand bike this Giant was not the tidiest but rode really nice with some Marathon Plus's and an XT rear mech.
He started talking about a Colnago that his uncle had and then he says "My Dad had a Diamant in the mid 70's too, that was a cool bike" he then went on to tell me that his Dad's was made in East Germany but that he had heard of Road bikes labelled Diamant that were Belgian made.
Can anybody tell me anything more?
Does any body have a Diamant?
I am guessing this was quite a high end bike the frame it is rather beautifully crafted, some very nice touches incorporated.
No one has responded does any one want to see photos of it on wheels as I am getting some on later to enthuse myself, as I have not done too much on this as the seat post is really stuck . . . .rigid stuck. Has anybody had any luck with these Spray Freeze Release type sprays? If I have no luck any other way, I will cut some height from it and start gently sawing down the inside of the seat post and eventually remove.
Any suggestions would be great, I want to fully restore this frame and will need help on information along the way. Thanks guy's

Here's a couple of links to them:

- seems like they were bought out by trek fairly recently

Very nice basic 80's high end steel frame should build up nice. Is there some reason you believe the fork is a Zeus? It looks like newer threadless replacement fork that someone put on the frame to add a couple of inches of stack stem hieghth.
