Gazelle Champion Mondial Pista 1972
Hi Guys,
I have built up this Gazelle track frame for track training. Its a lovely ride, light stiff and fast. The wheels and crankset I've used were modern to get it onto the track as soon as possible before the season ends. The serial number seems to date the frame about 1972 from sources I have found. Does anyone know anything about the type of fork ? They are a double plate crown and seem quite rare.
All comments welcome.
The period correct components are:
Cinelli Unicanitor seat
Campag Record seatpost
Cinelli 1A stem
Cinelli dual crest bars
The contemporary components are:
Campag Record headset
Shimano UN55 bottom bracket
Andel pista cranks 48 with 15 rear
Wheels are Miche pista hubs laced to Mavic Reflex rims, 32 3x.
Tubular Tyres are Conti Tempo front and Vittoria CS Pista rear
MKS road pedals will be the first to be upgraded
Cheers
