Just for fun

I'm a little surprised some of you guys didn't say something about how I got the Paramount to stand upright without any noticeable support in this picture. Not that it's a big deal. Let see who can see it first. It's not the toe clip.

What brought this to mind is that I just got a ridiculously high offer for my P13. The guy ask me how I did it.

how about you rule out photoshop- as that will mean you can use any method you wish.

I think fishingline.
but wont ruleout a propstick, the shadows can hide that well.

AH HA!

check the extra spoke that looks like it comes from the upper deraileur wheel, it does not seam to be in a correct pattern.

Civic pride. You told the bike to stand up and be counted.

Ding ding ding on the prop that looks like a spoke. Also looks like something little shoved under the front wheel to help keep it straight.

I thought you just used a fast shutter and got it before the bike fell over.

I vote fishing line tied to the top of the brake cable loop coming out of the lever.

Edit: ok, maybe not.

I like this sneaky game-

we should do this more often!

thumbs up on the method-that took creativity!

Chris_in_Miami 09-24-12 01:23 PM

I was going to guess that you used a similar method to the way I balanced this bike on the stand to get the top tube level, but I see that I would have been mistaken...

Paramounts stand on their own.

I actually thought there was something fishy about the way the middle cable clip on the top tube lines up perfectly with the edge of the corner trim on the house, thought there was maybe a support hidden in that somehow.......very clever in the way you actually did it.

You can actually see it in the full view if you know what to look for. I studied on it for a while trying to figure out how to take pictures without using an ugly stand. The small end of the fishing rod eye is in the drop-out slot. I had to cut the rod a couple of times to get the right length at the right angle.
