New guy

Hey I'm the new guy and glad ya'll let me in,just started messing with bikes about 4 months ago and having a ton of fun with them. I also mess around with old cars and trucks, I have a 1950 Ford tudor sedan still has the flathead engine in it and still going, I have a 1966 Ford truck that I drive on a daily bases. Right now I have about 4 or 5 bikes I will post some pictures when I figure out how to post them. I will more than likely ask some dumb questions but if you don't no the answer I'm not going to guess at it, I'm sure there are some pretty smart people hear and I'm glad to be hear,Later on pedal slow.

Hey, welcome. Best way to post pics is to load them onto a photo site such as flicker or photobucket, and then copy & paste the "IMG" link to the image. Post some pics of your classic cars while you're at it. Cheers.

So where are you from?
its always nice to know.

images-
get something like photobucket to place your pictures in, then just copy the img and you are done.

if you want to show a reference to picture on the web this is easy also.

the picture you have in mind might be located here

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...ycle_wheel.jpg

just put on both sides of the image link

and you get this

puchfinnland, great job in explaining how to post images from other sources. I do it all the time, but you did a nice job explaining how to those new on the forum.

For instance, I have no clue what a Ford Tudor looks like. But now I do! And I like it.

As far as I know those were simply called "Ford" followed by trim level (ex. "Deluxe") and that Tudor was Ford slang for two doors.

Welcome to a great place. Looking forward to seeing photos of your bikes. I also like the choice in old vehicles. I've been keeping my eye out for a decent 65-66 Ford F100. Great trucks.

Yes that's what my car looks like not quite that nice but I like it. I will put some pictures on as soon as I can,of the cars and bikes.Looks like we all like the same things, glad to be hear.

Welcome! And I think a lot of guys here have vintage vehicles too, myself I have a 1969 Mach 1 and a 1929 Model "A" roadster.

Welcome, pedalslow (I like that handle, should have thought of it first)! And yes, please post a classic car every now and then.

pedalslow 09-28-12 01:13 PM

Ok hears the first of many dumb questions, where do you download the pictures at. And yes Tudor is the way they ID these back in the day or Shoebox, Thanks for any help.

cbresciani 09-28-12 03:35 PM

In the reply box there is an insert image icon, it looks like a picture frame, then select an image from your computer or insert the link from your photobucket account or similar hosting site.

Welcome. We're here to help.

Uh, I mean we're here to show you how to get deep into this. We can't help beating the addiction.

I recommend picasa for storing your pictures online. flickr is pretty good, too.

If you want advice, this is the place.
We'll either give you good advice, or lie so convincingly it will seem like it.

Welcome to the forum.
You may find this hobby more acceptable to significant others, and you can build a bike for them, too!

I do NOT recommend photobucket.
They have ZERO customer service, even when they royally screw up.

I'm from Rockwell North Carolina, About 20 min from Charlotte, Race city USA.

NC, well then, you're in the state where the best looking C&V owners live.

If you're using a high resolution camera, 1 GB of free storage doesn't last very long before you have to fork out $30 or more for storage. Dropbox has something like 5GB free.

As far as vehicles, do convertibles from the mid-1990's qualify as vintage?
