Another Eddy Merckx back on the Road. Red, White, & Blue

Just completed 1988 Eddy Merckx Super Corsa, thanks to the help of Jay at Brick Bikes. Tried to build up with mostly Campagnolo Super Record, still need to find some Brake Calipers. I also plan to get some new gum wall, period correct tires (recommendations welcomed). Took it for a nice 15 mile spin this morning, loving the feeling of SLX Steel.

That looks great! The red accents work well. I recommend you go with veloflex for tires.

I like it! The veloflex are good tires, but I do flat with them...not sure what your roads are like.

Thanks, I will check out the Veloflex. Any sites offering good deals on them? I'll take a look on Amazon.

Why do the tires need to be period correct when the components are not?

Period correct, period schmorect. Enjoy the bike.

You shouldn't have trouble finding those calipers. Let me know if you do.

Watch pricing on Ribble, Westernbikeworks and Velomine.

I usually buy the Master 23s at about $35 or so when they are on sale.

Anything under $50 is fine though. They are worth it.
