I would to ride one just the experience. 2 wheel drive has been tried with dirt bikes and has never proved successful, except for the Rokon Trailbreaker. Looks like it would be tiring with all the extra friction in the cable drive.

How often is it that a spinning rear wheel limits what a mountain bike can do? And would a driven front wheel have any benefit?

I don't think there's enough (if any) benefit to compensate for the added weight and possible fluid drag of the hydraulics and the fluid drives at each wheel.
A gear freak's dream I guess but not really making sense.....

Isnt that just a flex shaft drive set up, with gear hubs ?

If so, I would make an adapter so I could put a blender on the end of it !!

Cheers,

Joe

A Big hearty Socal Fukkin' A Dood to you, sir.

Things are rare for one of three reasons:

Not many were made- Faberge eggs

Not many survived- Mint condition muscle cars, Porsche Speedsters, MG TCs

No one wanted it in the first place- this thing

If you scroll bout 3/4 down this page you'll find the Profle Legacy 2 wheel drive from 91 which was a much higher quality bike base on the same concept. Poster makes the observation that when the wheels turned at different speeds, things tended to break. https://www.sonic.net/~ckelly/Seekay/...bike_stuff.htm

I spun out in a race and had to pull off and let all the people behind me go by before I could get going again. Might have helped in that instance.

Until I flatted 1 mile later.
