I might just pet it for a while , alone in my garage, then sell it on eBay. If anyone has any better ideas, or wants to tell me anything about Miele or this specific model, feel free. |

I just finished posting the C&V Vacuum thread when I saw your post and the first thing I thought of was this:! http://hirschs.co.za/shop/media/cata...--_1933.45.jpg |

Love that color, for sure. |
You must be one tall drink-O-water, Holiday. I just scored a tall bike myself. ;) Very un-like me to acquire a bike.
That's a neat looking frame. Does it fit ya? I say keep it, build it, and show it off here. And yes, did Miele make bike AND Vacuum cleaners ********** Wot up with that? |
Ooooo, you got that for a song. Nicely done.

Connection is in name only. Nice bike...interesting dimensions, as already noted. 63x56 can't be terribly common, all told. I had a Miele Lupa with a great purple paint job a while back that didn't fit, and a few friends who've had/have nice examples (they're pretty common bikes here in Canada, though the panto fork crown is not something I've see a lot of with the run-of-the-mill examples). I presume it's the fact that I could actually ride it that has this effect, but tall bikes speak to me - talk about the 'ideal symmetry' of 56cm frames be damnd. T-mar was very helpful in telling me more about the one I had - and I believe he's interested in Miele serial numbers if you find one on there (though a serial number is not always present). I'm pretty sure randyjawa has (and has posted in the past) some Miele catalogs, as well. |
I own an 86ish Miele Condor with Suntour Sprint components. They are nice bikes
|
I have had 2 Miele Road Latina frames, unfortunately neither were my size. Nicely made.
|
Circa 1985-1986 Miele Classica or Alfa. They both used the same frame but different components. My 1986 catalogue doesn't show that colour option for either model, so I assume it's probably a 1985.
|
The brand is new to me, but I LOVE that color. Well bought!
|
The ultimate bike for an employee at Sunkist.
That TT seems awfully short for your go-go gadget arms Holiday. |
A PayPal balance is a dangerous thing.

That's funny. I ended up buying this one off of ebay, picked it up [local] yesterday.
http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=277468 It's now down to bare bones. Whoever installed the BB/crankset set their torque wrench too high. I had to use my framing hammer to beat on the end of my breaker bar to get stuff to budge. I really thought I was going to strip out the crank threads. It's off; but instead, my puller used to spin easily - now the threads in it are deformed  T-Mar, you thought this might be a '90. By '90, I would have expected 8s HG, but this drivetrain is 7s UG. And it really looks like a DT decal is on the ST. I'll pull some date codes and the SN tonight. |

And it really looks like a DT decal is on the ST. I'll pull some date codes and the SN tonight. As for the seat tube decal, it's correct for the era. They read sideways and are placed high on the tube. I don't know why they did it, other than possibly to be different. |
