From cats to vacuum cleaners to - dogs: check this: a guy I met this weekend has a setup where his dog rests on the aerobars of his tri-bike. For added precaution, the owner loops a lanyard around his neck which attaches to the dog's collar.

His dog loves this, apparently: if the owner heads out the door with his bike, the dog whines if it thinks he's not going :)

You can't make this **** up!

The Griswalds loved their dog too - took him on a long cross country trip once. He kept up for as long as he could - if I remember correctly.

is that a zipp? nice fork.

Drillium Dude 10-08-12 10:43 PM

Not a Zipp - can't recall the maker, but it's an interesting bike - the top part of the frame is a boom of sorts that slide fore and aft, and of course the seatpost is adjustable, too. The guy's setup had him pretty much directly over the BB.

Here's a pic of the bike:

Maybe someone on this kooky thread can ID it

^ Wow, that's gotta be worth some serious Euros! I had an original "Keep On Truckin'" poster a few years back; sold it on Ebay for just under 300USD - and it wasn't mint by any means.

Even so, it took awhile to get over the seller's remorse that resulted from that auction :o

WOW!!
And I thought it had no value,

it will be on fleabay real soon or should i put it in the c and v trade page?!

I had one of those Keep on Truckin posters when I was a kid. Repaced it with a Bluto Blutarsky potster and it went in to the trash. Whoda thunk it would be worth anything let alone $300.

There's actually an interesting connection with the other hardware that usually dominates these pages: Batavus made vacuum cleaners.

Just as long as it doesn't turn into the "dry-cleaning your cat" thread. :notamused:

Thanks. But what is it? Just a poster, or one of those faux basketball hoops you hang over the trash can?

Michael Angelo 10-09-12 06:18 PM

That dog needs a GPS location crash sensor on it's collar.

An old Ideale 42 saddle that I recovered this weekend. My 26th effort. Not perfect, as you can see, but it'll do for a rider.

Bravo, that's very nice!

Just shipped this one to Florida, which is funny, because that is where the wood came from.
