Seen this weirdo, yet? Fanini content
Courtesy of the CR List: an eBay Netherlands listing for a "very rare" vintage Italian Fanini...very rare and very weird.
Never seen the likes of this before:

somebody has made an offer.

Lucca Fanini could NEVER be accused of not thinking outside the box.
My first impression - WOW!!!
My second, third and forth impressions - wow!
My next thought - when will all these photos ever load?
I wonder if it had rough road absorbing qualities? How much would it have weighed? I wonder how Fanini's influence affected Mario Chipollini's psyche?
I want one.
Thanks for showing me - it really made my day.

I should have noted: the eBay ad has a LOT of very good quality photos showing lots of detail...and they take a long time to load, especially if your "high-speed connection" ain't all that.
Since it's an eBay ad you can ask the seller questions, maybe he'll answer them "publicly" and post them in his ad.
I think of Mario Cippolini as the bass player in some NorCal band (Huey Something and the Somethings), and the younger brother of John (the psychedelic guitarist)...apparently he did a bit of racing, too.

Yes, if I had the extra funds I'd go for that. Adjustable seat tube angle! That is definitely doing some good thinking outside the box. Look at the interesting dropouts and the curved crank arms. Very unique all the way around.

Holy crap! This thing... Don't know what to say but, I want it! And I don't believe it's so near to where I live. Just that adjustable seattube, with the spacing to get the rearwheel out, or put it way back... It just looks fantastic, but the unique function makes it even more beautiful.

I agree this is pretty unique and intriging and I would have it in my stable in short order if I had an extra 3K lying about.
