Nervous as hell(and excited!), sitting here waiting on the taxi to the bus station. Heading out to my new truck driving job. I do not have a laptop or any other modern portable internet device until I get a few paychecks in the ol bank account. So, I will probably won't be able to post anything until then. hey Dued, Where are you going to? What kind of truck will you be driving? Will you be doing interstate or just local delivery type stuff? Have you thought of packing a folder in your kit?

I lived on the road from coast to coast for many years---lots of time to think. Glad for that time.
Look for the beauty out there. It's there, and in many of the people you'll meet.

It's awesome having cyclists out there on the highways driving the big trucks. It takes real skill to handle machinery like that day in and day out. Good luck with the new gig.

Don't forget about the public library for internet access.

BTW as you will see most all truck stops have a WiFi these days, so once you get a laptop it is easy to get online.
