Numbers

Pretty sloppy presentation of some of the ride/run numbers I have pinned on the Garage wall. I was thinking it would be a good topic for the forum. Do you save yours? How do you present them?

I think I saved one from the first Lewiston, ID hill climb I did and my only Seattle to Portland in 1985 - they're in an old photo album. I saved time cards for the last two hill climbs - but that's about it.

Cool photo. I wish I had some of my old race numbers, but I haven't raced since I was a teenager and never had the foresight to keep such things.

Mine are shoved in a cabinet. At least some of them. I like what you did. I may have to do something nice like yours.

I stopped saving, there were just too many, though I've saved some from memorable races. They're not displayed, just shoved away in a hiding place. I miss the days when they gave you one number for the entire season. My first race number was, IIRC, printed on leather for durability. I believe I still it lying around someplace.

By the way, there are a few in there I need to do - Ramrod (my dad is really bugging me about this one - it was one of his favorites), Crater Lake Century, Cino Heroica
