help with this saddle?
 

Hi all, picked up a 1987 Serotta Nova special x a little while back, and love it. However, I can't find any info on the saddle that came with it. My best guess is it is from the 90's. it's a selle san marco race day that reads "olympic gold medal" on the top. I'm just curious as to when it's from and if it's anything special, as it is just laying around right now. Thanks guys. Here's a pic.

I think that's a later model saddle than what you would find on an 87 bike. A lot of those saddles with embroidered graphics on them were from sometime in the mid 90's. You might find a "Turbomatic" Selle Italia or a Concor Rolls or Regal on an 87 bike instead.

I didn't think it was anything special but was curious. already have swapped it with a concor supercorsa. Thanks for the reply.

Good change! Those embroidered saddles look kinda tacky most of the time anyway. It's just ads they were forcing owners
to ride with on their bikes....

I have seen saddles with the Gel center like that as late as the early 2000s from San Marco. That looks to be in excellent shape and is probably a decent saddle. It looks like it would be more at home on a mountain bike though.
