Headset question: CK 2nut vs. CK 2nut BMX?

So I may have made a mistake and want to see if it could still work or if I need to make a return before trying to install...

I am revamping my old, early 1990s Schwinn mountain bike. In the process I decided to use a Chris King 2nut threaded headset as I see this being the last rebuild of this bike and the existing headset is low end. The CK headset should arrive today. However, after looking closer I have now realized that there is a "standard" 1 inch 2nut and a "BMX" 1 inch 2nut. Turns out that I bought the BMX version.

Since CK makes 2 different sizes, is it safe to assume that this BMX headset will not work in my mountain frame? It looks like the size difference of the skirts on the standard vs. BMX is 2.6mm. The interference numbers I see listed make it appear that this is not doable.

I'm annoyed and will have to pay a restocking fee but I guess that is better than potentially damaging something and getting $0 back.

Thanks!

Please disregard my question. My shipment arrived and it is clear this is not compatible.
