+1 seems like a museum piece, and I wouldn't use that term loosely.

guy should list it in ebay.co.uk

that is where it will be purchased.

maybe not for that price, but I still think is worth over 8k, belongs in a UK museum

The bike sure is spectacular, but whoah, the seller is really going for it. Perhaps he/she will have luck getting it into a Christie's auction or something like that, where well-heeled collectors might actually pop the cash for it.

He's been posting this on the NYC Craigslist. Honestly, I thought $27,000 was a typo, but I guess not!

What am I not getting? It's a well preserved Raleigh three speed in nice condition, but it's still a fairly common bike. Granted I'm not up on values, but if this sold in three zero territory I'd be surprised. Four zeros? BBD wouldn't have the nerve to ask that.

It like baseball cards and coins, a small jump in grade can bump the price exponentialy.

Yeah, that striping doesn't look factory. Then again, factory striping doesn't look factory.

Yeah. He keeps posting bikes on NYC craigslist. He has more boobies on his shelf. I was actually looking for his other art when you posted this.
