SHA-ZAMM ! I think you've done a great job making the bike just right for you. I know you are chomping at the bit to get it out there, let us hear a ride report if you wish.

Nice choice on the Brooks, indeed a QR seatpost is grounds for a lock-up ! I hope you kept all the original parts.....

Thanks! I didn't actually change much, but all of the bits and pieces are in a box labelled "Sakai!!!" in case I need them. I just put it on a scale - it weighs 28lb as pictured, so not exactly a feather-weight, but not too bad for an old steel mountain bike, either. The tires have a nice design - there is a prominent smooth ridge running down the middle, which I'm hoping will make them tolerable for road riding. The gearing is 40/16, so not ideal for serious off-road, but for easy-going trails it should be okay, and also I won't be spinning out on the streets as much as if I'd gone for the traditional 32/16.

Thank you! I just ordered some glow in the dark pedals for it, and it'll be getting a couple of other neon accents as well.
