Hey Michael,

I just fell into a nice set of Maxi Car 650 wheels, and am going through the process of figuring what frame I should attach them too. Feel free to pop by if you want to test the wheels and long reach brakes against any frames...

There's a long thread on this already (even titled almost identically):

That said, this gives me another excuse to show two of mine. :)

Early 1980s Shogun 1500 tourer converted from 27" to 650B with relocated cantilever bosses and other frame mods:

It's undergone a lot of component changes since its initial build shown above, and has happily traversed almost 1000 miles of dirt roads and trails and has climbed remote mountain passes with aplomb:

And my wife's Soma Buena Vista mixte, which I bought new for her and built up as a 650B townie/errand bike:

Very nice bikes. I searched for content under "650b", but did not find the prior thread. Since that thread has not seen activity in years, let's keep this new one going.

Does mine count. 1985 PSN-10. My husband made me do it…..this bike was equipped with full Campy Super Record from 1982, even had tubulars. It was comfy, but not this comfy!! This has hand built by me & hubby, Velocity Synergy 28h laced to BHS hubs, Lierre tires, 559 brakes. This is not the original fork for this frame. 10speed, 11-32 by 34-48.

motochick: Yes, yes this absolutely counts. Seems really unique, I have never seen a Peugot like yours converted to 650B. It looks great!

Southpawboston: post more pics of those bikes anytime!

I've posted my 1981 Bianchi Limited before in other threads but here it is again. Synergy rims, Velo Orange 48-34 crankset, Tektro 559 brakes, Deore RD to handle the 12-36 cassette, Velo-Orange 700c hammered fenders that I adjusted to fit. SR stem, Dia-Compe levers, and Suntour shifters are original. I've since switched to Soma B-Lines and they are really nice.

Here it is on a ride from DC to Shepherdstown WV and back that I did in August:
