Toe clip sizing
Would a toe clip measuring 3 3/4" from the center of the spindle to the front of the toe be considered a M, L, or XL?
|
My MKS chromed steel toe clips measure 3 3/4" from the center of the spindle to the front of the clips. They are size Large.
|
That's approximately true with my Christophes and Campagnolos as well. Of course, pedals vary, so including them in the measurement is going to lead to some inaccuracies.
|
I bet the majority of toe clips are size L, or about 3 3/4", which fit most normal humans fine.Trouble is I'm looking for an XL, since my son-in-law has water skis for feet - size 14!
Any leads? |
I bought the MKS LL size, and added some washers to "stretch" them out off the pedal face.
|
These would be considered large for toe clips 9-11 shoe size most medium fits all fits no one are about a half inch smaller.

Velo Orange has "deep" clips. I use them, size 12 feet. http://store.velo-orange.com/index.p...toe-clips.html

I have size 13's and find the plastic mountain bike clips to be the largest and very comfortable. My favorites are the Zefal clips.
