70's Bottecchia
I've got a 70's (purchased in '72, by me, so 1 owner) Bottecchia, all campy nuovo record. It's in good, rideable shape, though it has been repainted, so no original decals etc. It's losing it's sentimental appeal and taking up space. What's it worth?
Thanks for any help.

Bikes: yeah; got a couple...
I love answering these "what's it worth" questions
...
$325 on eBay. If the components are nice, you may get more parting it out, though the market's a little down lately on Nuovo Record, as compared to two-three years ago. If the components are average used or worse, and since the frame's been repainted, $325 on eBay. My guess, from watching eBay & buying for several years.

I noticed on your post at RBR that you are located in Florida, and if you were in central Florida, you unfortunately missed an opportunity to sell it at the orange cycle garage sale which was today. There was a number of older bikes for sale...some nice, some not so. You might also try craigslist as they have local classifieds and they're not as much hassle as ebay.
Anyway, I've been looking for a ridable decent quality, older bike (~53cm) so if you're in central florida, let me know what exactly you have for sale or where you list the ad. Thanks.

Thanks for the info. I've never heard of the orange cycle garage sale. Maybe next year. Unfortunately it's a 60 cm frame, so probably not much use to you as a complete bike. I'm in Gainesville, so the market for used equipment is a lot smaller than Orlando. I've been hanging it on the wall for 30 years, so it's not like I have to rush to unload, I'd just like to clear out some space and see it go to someone who might use it. I sold my 40's schwinn paramount a year or so ago to someone who was going to restore it and give it the home it deserved.
