Team Miyata information
Hi all
I have just joined this forum, so if I sound like a noob, I am:) I have what I believe is a Team Miyata. I have owned the bike since 1988 and I am the second owner. It had been resprayed when I purchasd the bike, so I am unsure of original colour. I want to do a restore, but I am unsure of the year model. The serial number is NM20002 and runs 12 speed DuraAce components. If anyone can help with information whether this is in fact a Team Miyata, year model, original colours and whether decals are available (the frame and forks need to be re-painted), I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance. Simon |

http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=293756Serial number places it as a 1985 model...please take photos of the bike and we can chime in better on model. DA 12sp would be the OEM parts gruppo for the bike.

It's probably a petty comment, but I don't care for the black stem with the black head tube. Otherwise these were PURDY bikes...a touch heavy, but a nice, firm feeling and not whippy at all.

This is where reasonable minds disagree. I like the black as an accent. In fact, I saved the stem just in case I find a Team Miyata that fits.
As to quality, triple butted and spleened. A rider's bike. This is the stiffest steel bike I've ever experienced. Frankly, better than any Italian frame I've ever ridden. Some call the Team the best C&V production bike ever built. I tend to agree. |

I've wanted a Team Miyata for a long time now. I've got a 914 that I love and want to try out the top of the line someday. Make her shine again, OP. And post pics. :)
