They won't let any old folks ride their bikes naked, will they? I live kinda sorta near Fremont, & that's MORE than enough of that, thanks very much.

I'll still be in San Diego awaiting my flight to DG (class graduates on Friday the 8th but my flight doesn't leave until Tuesday the 12th). I wonder if it would be possible....?

Shucks. I'm already committed: https://worstdayride.com/ . Just ask my wife- she'll tell you I should have been committed a long time ago.

Well, I went, and spent too much money, but I certainly can't complain about the deals. I need to research some of this stuff a lot better, but my main score was a pair of Campy Record hubs, Low-Flange but buttery-smooth, laced to Velocity Razor rims, plus they had tubes & tires, Schwalbe Duranos mounted up & lightly inflated. I felt like a jackass on the way home, because the seller gave me a great price, but I still offered $20 less. He took it & said he could see that I'd appreciate them, and seemed happy with the deal, but afterwards I realized that I should have just paid the price he first asked. Whoever you are, I'll pass along the karma to someone, & thanks again. I also got some Shimano 600 Arabesque derailleurs, both in VG+ condition, an unidentified-by-me-yet Campy FD, an old Unicanitor (Cinelli) saddle with a chunk of leather missing, LOL, a couple Silca pumps (the Bottechia is just for the shell, which looks cool, the innards are screwy), with one Silca head and one Campy, and a couple pairs of grips. I'm still not sure if that one pair is leather or fake, but they do look cool as heck, for $5. BTW, I didn't realize Velocity rims were made in Australia, until I saw these ones. Henceforth & heretofore, these shall be known as my kangaroo wheels.

Yay, I fixed that silver Silca. Yay. It turned out that the screw had come all the ways out of the endpiece, so that & the leather washer & metal washer & spring were all stuck in the tube, up at the far end. An old coat hanger got them out, eventually, and after reassembling it, I gave it a good wash. I've been using a Silca Pista floor pump for quite awhile, so I really needed a frame pump, and it worked out that now I have 2. Oh yeah, those Campy Record hubs are dated 1984 (I found the lock-nut marking, but only on the rear), and I'm fairly sure, for being a Campy newbie, that the FD is an early Record, from the '60s. I don't remember now, but I only paid either $5 or $10 for it, so that was a nice grab by itself.

No pics yet, but I got a small pile of good deals. Lilly (my daughter, she was the one rolling around on "heelys") and I had a great time.
Small gloves and a WA state champion jersey for Lilly -$15
Red Sicla w/Campy head -$15
3TTT Gimondi bend bars -$15
Cinelli 1A stem - this seems to have a tighter pista like angle to it. Velo-base doesn't list a 1A pista though (?) -$10
Pair of Gran-Compe nutted calipers -$5
Black Cinelli bar tape (new) -$10
Campagnolo Triomphe pedals - I mistook these for C-Record, but for $20 I'm not worried -$20
Not quite IDed Campagnolo BB (Black spindle w/winged logo ; 68-ss ; thin cups ; English threads ; haven't measured the length yet) -$5
Most of a Super-Record RD - pat'82 missing the mounting bolt, pullys, and back of the cage. -$15
White leather Campagnolo toe straps -$10
2 mafac brake wrenches, 2 Campagnolo cone wrenches(13/14 and 15/16) -$5
Specialized cap with world champion stripes -$2
Lilly harassed and finally got the Razor scooter -$10
A little more than I thought I'd spend but I could have done worse. I think I was well behaved over all

Yep, that's about what I said. It's hard to use any self-discipline, with all that good stuff. If I were loaded, I saw a FEW nice bikes & frames there too, but I have too many of those already. Especially that DeRosa in the back, & a couple Colnagos, & several others. Oh, I finally figured out, that FD I got is an early Nuovo Record, from '73 to '77-ish. I got confused by that one version that was only made in '72, nearly the same but slightly different.
