Did someone ask for Tommasini pics? OK, my Tommasini, with radioactive green bar tape and cable housing. Picked this one up off C/L last summer. It sat there for almost two weeks. Sure it had some challenges, but the price was right. Of course, it was 240 miles away, one way. Lots of nicer Tommasinis on this forum. But within my budget, this was a pretty nice find (mostly 8 speed DA 7400 STI, with some tricolor bits).

That paint more than makes up for any shortcomings. I bet you can spot new details on it even after owning it for years. Beauty!

Outstanding story and pictures Cattywompus, your husband is truly a very lucky man to have you as a life partner. My wife told me I could get my new CAAD 10 a year ago (I know not C&V, I didn't push the envelope with my luck,) she knew how much riding meant to me. Your husband will get a lot of enjoyment riding with you, encourage him to keep it up. He could certainly join up here and participate in our form of insanity.
BTW, very nice bike you scored for him, a definite 10!!!!, and after seeing your judo picture if i have said anything out of line, please ask me to retract it rather than punish me.

A 'rule' in the screenwriting of romantic movies, esp rom-coms, is that whatever travails the couple must go through before the happy-ever-after ending, they must 'meet cute.'
You guys definitely have that handled. I hereby call dibs on your story, and am registering it with the Writers' Guild-West.
Now I just need to figure out how to write a screenplay.

I wouldn't worry too much about punishment either- Judo is my happy place. And you're a Marine anyway, right? You know as well as I do that fun always has a little bit of pain mixed in

It is all good here, hope he enjoys his new bike and that you both have many great rides together. And we prefer to say that pain is weakness leaving the body, I should never ever be weak again as bad as I hurt after a workout or training. BTW, no offense taken, a Cannondale CAAAD 10 is aluminum I am not advanced or intelligent enough to have a CF bike, yet.

Cool thread, I'm glad you got him interested.
Is that the bridge that the Greyhound bus went off of, back in the early 80s? Believe it or not, I was on a Greyhound, crossing that same bridge, just a couple days later, before I even heard about it.

I'm not sure, but you might be right. I think my husband told me about it. It was at night, right? Quite a few people died. And bridge is called the Skyway, not the the Skyline like I said before.
