It's Lee Marvin's prosthetic nose from Cat Ballou.

I will second Jeff Wills total WAG I see a couple of cable guides but my best WAG is this is not a bike. Looks decent silver almost never used in bikes so this one is a mystery.
|
How big is it? Hard to identify without scale.
|
Is it a casting, or made from sheet or strip?
...and yeah, how big? I doubt it's for bikes. |
Looks like one of those fancy napkin rings.
|
Please place it next to a banana for scale.
|
No.
|
it take two round things that are next to each other and puts them on top of each other and holds them. Do you have the other one?
kidding. |
not sure, but it looks nicely made.
|
Klingon engagement ring.
|
need to see it next to a coin for scale

I agree scale is needed as well as more info on where it was found. A box of stuff from an old bike shop? Did they sell/service Mopeds? I think it may be a clip to secure a cable of some kind, clutch or throttle probably, to its lever. |
From Canada....could be part of a Snowmobile! From the wood grain, I am guessing about 3/4" long or 1.5cm or so, and it looks like some sort of cable connector thingie...Clutch, brake, throttle?!?

Lee Marvin was Clint's sometimes sidekick in the besketty westerns back in the '60s/70s.

I think you're thinking of Lee Van Cleef. Marvin and Eastwood were only in one movie together AFAIK, and that was Paint Your Wagon.

Reminds me of le doohickey that le snaps onto the braze-on chainstay cable stop of my Motobecane.
