Typhoon Huffy 10 speed (barely ridden) <20 year hiatius> Motiv (costco) Mt bike I thought I would ride the 2 day STP on this bike .....and then I wised up... 1998 Cannondale R800 road bike purchased in early 2000 and ridden allot for a decade took me that long to figure out it was too small  2009 Handsome Devil Steel frame set build with a brooks saddle and bar end shifters (got tired of replacing brifters every 3 years :bang:) 1979 Miyata 912 garage sale find was the gateway drug to Vintage steel  https://farm7.staticflickr.com/6028/...10d8377a_b.jpg 700c wheelset by Ryan Surface, on Flickr |
I started with a lowly ‘72 Motobecane Mirage purchased new with busboy wages. That bike was everything to me. I did upgrades to it that mimicked the racers of the day. Entry level bike with a very enthusiastic rider. That was my beginning. Three years ago ended my quest for the level of bike I idolized as a teen but couldnt afford when I bought and restored a ‘77 Colnago Super that was ridden in races of that day. It’s a bike that scratched an almost unreachable itch. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...2695418d7b.jpg |
20" bike with training wheels. Training wheels came off, my parents later converted it to a "Stingray". English 24" camel back 3 speed, 26" Japanese 3 speed from E. J. Korvettes.. about $29 new.. junk. Schwinn Varsity. Fuji Special Road Racer. Too many to remember after that, including a Motobecane Le Champion and other gems .. and a few clunkers.
