Fantastic! You must be very proud. You'd better have her build you a frame before the wait times get too long.

No kidding? So you're Isis' dad! I never made the connection with the last names. And you were both at Peter's open house last fall!

As others have said, you must be very proud, and deservedly so. And I can only guess she has as good taste in cars as she does in bikes, given her lineage .

You have a very talented daughter, but I imagine you know that already. Beautiful lugs, the detail work is so crisp.

So talented!

We must remember to support our young builders.

As well as our young artists.

Real talent, given the nurturing and correct financial support, may lead to life long contributions in the field.

This one is off to a roaring start I would say.

gorgeous! ...and the bike looks great too.

one question, in the photo linked, it looks like the rear drop-outs/track-ends tilt upwards at a slight angle. is that actually the case, and if so, what's the reasoning behind that detail?

It's so that the brake pads line up with the rim no matter where the hub is within the track ends.

Not only is Bilenky talented in craft and design, but you can hardly visit a booth with nicer people, in a show that has many booths of nice people.

It's not often you run across people who are very good at what they do, enthusiastic enough about it to tell anyone who asks, and humble enough to communicate that without a hint of superiority. Behind those eyes are the trials and errors of doing it enough to get it right, and pride at someone else "getting it."

Outstanding congratulations.

That is interesting. I just today saw images of that frame, best from them to date and especially including the bike they made for Brett Horton which did not impress me at all.
I was wondering where this new found aesthetic came from.

Bravo on the nice design execution.
When your daughter goes out on her own, please advise. There is a design sense in those lugs that is missing in any number of builders' efforts, including the "big names".

Some guys have never shown creativity outside of refinement of others earlier efforts. Maybe it is because most builders did not attend design school.
