Got this frame sans wheels. Put on a cheap set if single speed wheels to get it going. Changed out the AVA stem, it was broken in three pieces, but you couldn't tell. I am looking to find a geared wheel set for it. It had a campagnolo nuevo record rear, and suntour Ar front deraileur, and the original Huret down tube shifters, when I got it.

Beautiful old frame. Good thing you discovered that broken stem before it discovered you!

That's an early one, judging from the head badge. Put some gears on it - that single speed setup looks like a pretty high gear ratio.

I'm not familiar with Raleighs. Does that head badge indicate about 1970-71?

nice bike! I've got one of those GB stamped stems that look like that left over from a Raleigh project if your interested in going back to the original look. I dig the look those wheels give to that bike btw.

The current gear ratio is 52x16. I have my eyes on a set of wheels with a six speed rear hub, so hopefully I will have gears back on soon. I also think it will look better with silver non V style rims. The headbadge is called Anniversary badge, 68-70 date range.
