Inherited this bike from my brother who used to RR back in the 80's.
My father bought the bike almost new in the late 60's (correction purchased spring of 1970). It was a parts bike at the shop he bought it from.

My brother modified it quite a bit to be within specs of RR bikes during those days.
Not pictured but I swapped out the seat, re-taped the bars and added some wheels that can hold higher pressure tubes.

I put a couple hundred miles on it during the fall. Looking forward to many many miles this spring and summer.

Thxs for posting. It looks like it's had a few braze-ons added. That's a strange looking rear dropout. Can we get a better of it? TIA.

I will get some detail pics.
The wheel base was shortened and has vertical dropouts. The rear brake caliper mount was replaced and moved. The front forks were also shortened and the rake was changed. It's a fun bike to ride.

What happened to the decals? Is it a re-paint? Do you know what type of tubing they used? More pics!

Ah, so it has been seriously messed with! I'm assuming he also added the shifter bosses and re-routed the derailleur cables under the bottom bracket? Looking past all the changes, it looks like an upper, entry level or lower mid-range model. What's the seat post diameter?

Based on what I see, and my eyes are getting old, I would suggest that the bike is an entry level model that has experienced considerable alteration. I should be cafeful with sharing information about the OP's bike based on that single picture. I would like a closer look at the modified rear drops, not to mention other details. That said, this looks to be an example of an entry level Chiorda of late sixties or early seventies vintage...

Based on what I see, the steering stem is set too high, the rear brake cable top tube clips are position wrong and the fork looks to be bent forward slightly. I might add that if it is an entry level Chiorda, those forks are very fragile and I say that from unpleasant experience.
