Raleigh International maintenance?
What books would be most helpful in learning and performing basic work on a Raleigh and the Campagnolo components?

This forum is the best resource. You just need to put the search tool to use or use google and add bikeforums to the keywords. Sometimes the youtube vid have good how to's.

Park Tools has a good help section which will show you how to do many many things:
https://www.parktool.com/blog/repair-help
And of course, Sheldon Brown's website:
https://www.sheldonbrown.com/
And of course, ask here if there is something you don't understand or need more help with. This forum has always been very helpful to me.

Good advice here already, but I'll add: if you haven't worked on bikes before, I would recommend getting a cheaper vintage road bike or two to learn wrenching on first, since it's likely that you may make some mistakes in the learning process (we all do) and that International and its components are very nice.

Plenty of good info online as has been suggested. If you're really looking for a book, I recommend one about the same vintage as the bike. One of my favorites is The Complete Book of Bicycling by Eugene Sloane. Full of useful Campagnolo Nuovo Record specific info and can be found used pretty cheaply.

Most BOOKS are going to tend to be somewhat generic as to bicycle maintenance. They will give good overall guidelines as to how it works and how to adjust, but every different set of components will have it's own set of different procedures and things to look, do and NOT DO. Bicycles are simple....yet complicated....perhaps that is why we often refer to them as HER or SHE.....Just Saying! ;-)

That's one reason I like Eugene Sloane's book. Some very specific info in it regarding Campagnolo components. He loved them so features them prominently in his book. Not sure about the later editions though. Gotta go for an early edition.

Find a bike maintainence book from the 70s? Fortunately, a friend I knew in college taught me everthing I needed to know, including building wheels about 1972. Had a brown '71 International at the time.
