Nishiki Blazer cruiser conversion

About a month ago I found a 1989 Nishiki Blazer on CL and ended up buying it for my wife. She wanted a "beach cruiser" and I figured this would be a good base for one. It was in great shape, just needed some new life put in to it.

I added new white wall tires, seat, handle bars, grips, brake levers, pedals, bell, and of course a basket. I also upgraded the brake pads to Kool-stops, and it stops on a dime now.

She loves it, so that makes me happy...and I'm glad to keep a good bike on the road.

Before...

After...

I like it. The white looks great against that red frame and it looks like a cush ride. Is the saddle comfortable for her that low? It hurts my knees hurt looking at it.

That's a nice townie! Have you considered putting fenders on the bike? I think that would be a great finishing touch.

Thanks. I'm a fan of red and white color combos, keeps everything crisp. She likes the seat where it is. She's only 5'6", and those are 26" wheels, so she's on her tippy toes when standing.

Thanks. I thought about it, but not sure if I'd have enough room. Those tires fill the room that's there, may have rubbing if I add them. I'll take a look though, and see what I can find.
