Cinelli Bar Clamp Diameter Dating

Anybody know the timeline for when Cinelli used which bar diameters and want to give me a history lesson? Just curious.

I was talking with someone about some Cinelli handlebars he had. He said he'd gotten them new in the late 90's/early 00's and they had the double groove for cables (so I'd say they at least were made after Ergos), but they had ad 26.4 clamp area. For some reason I thought Cinelli had made the switch to the more standard 26.0 in the early to mid-90's, so I thought either his date or clamp diameter was off (I was looking to buy, that's the only reason I cared -easier to get stems of multiple sizes if it's 26.0).

Am I misremembering what I read about the date of them switching over, or was it more of a thing where both existed simultaneously and not an either/or like I thought? Also, when were they making 25.4 bars?
