Junebug gets a pill twice a day; we dissolve the pill in a few drops of water in a spoon, suck it up with a small syringe (no needle) and squirt it into her unwilling mouth. Hold her head up a couple seconds to make sure she swallows. Immediately follow with a couple of Greenies to get the taste out of her mouth, and done. HTH.

occurred to me that if Harry was a super friendly type of kitty who liked to climb into people's pockets his full name might be Harry In Your Pocket

This is our female Burmese that we bought from a cattery in 2000 before we had kids. She's still with us and still chatty and lappish. She doesn't play fetch anymore but she used to. She's gone slightly deaf and forgetful but still surprises us with little bursts of energy. We owe her longevity to free feeding of the same brand of hard food throughout her life (though we've changed formulas as she's gotten older), never taking her outside (so she's never had a parasite problem), and basically just spoiling her rotten with affection.

Oh, believe you me, friends and family are beating our door down! Each one of the six has already been spoken for, and the two calicos were the first to get marked down. Whether or not the alleged takers are serious, though... I guess we'll find out in a couple of months' time.

As an important side note
, many of the pictures from that '70s era, especially those shot on west coast locations, feature a lot of Olympia beer being consumed. It's really surprising how often I see the Tumwater, WA label. Unfortunately, last year, the current owner of the brand announced a "temporary" pause of production.

my parents operated a grocery in me growing up years and "Oly" was their favourite brew...about the only name we ever had in the house.
me dad got to be friends with the local Oly distributor.
can recall seeing it on local telly adverts in the 1950's and 1960's.

official release date for film is 1973 but trademark date at the end of the credits is 1972 so it was likely produced in that year. lived there for half a year in 1968 and really enjoyed it - made numerous trips back to visit betwixt 1970 and 2001.
the second segment of the picture takes place in Victoria. me parents honeymooned on the island in 1936 at a tiny spot called Ladysmith.
me mum's family lived in Centralia for a time ~1920. her father worked in the building trades and the rainy weather meant there was not much work so the family relocated to southern California.

It's been a week and the little ones have already got a clique system going on: the jocks and nerds are on the left; the emos on the right. Or is it the other way around? 🤔 Can't really tell for sure.

this post reminds me of those occasions when the cat goes to the front door and meows, wishing to be let out
so you hold the door open only for the cat to notice that it is raining out there so it stalls at the threshold
after a moment a lightbulb goes off in the kitty brain and kitty goes to the back door wanting to be let out...assuming it won't be raining out there
