Reggie has been a really good boy & sport during all the workmen in our home the past few days. lots of machinery & noise! he's 16 & lost both his siblings this year, so we're all he's got now

with me home for the past 4 weekdays, for the contractors & my foot problem, Reggie has had lots of company. everyone is going to work today so here's hoping he'll go back to his happy, day-long naps & won't miss us too much

I like them all, but old cats are the best cats.

Speaking of old cats, this is my Annabelle doing her usual while I'm working in my home office. She was one of two I adopted from my mom when she passed away in 2012, and she was at least five years old then. She's getting up there, suffering from diabetes, hyperthyroidism, and hypertension. I have to give her all kinds of stuff to keep her kicking, but it's worth it to me.

Caffè had kittens a week ago.

From the first day.
Unfortunately I had some commitments that day, and she had moved the kittens by the time I got back. Eventually she showed me where her nest was, which is in a hole that is rather hard to get to, but I was able to blindly snap a photo today.
The two survivors seem to be growing!!!

I'll give them a few more days, then try to dig them out and move them back to the storage container that I had intended as the nest.

The kittens are about 2 1/2 weeks old, so I decided to snatch them up today, and put them back in the storage container. Hopefully they'll stay there this time.
It turns out there are three kittens.

I was hoping for a beautiful gold and black tabby like the mother, Caffè, but that just wasn't the case. I'm not quite sure what cat was the father, but a black and white spotted cat has been hanging around.
Still, I'm sure there will be people that will be happy with a kitten!!!

Fresh laundry for the win.
One of my cats was discovered multiple times sleeping in the dirty clothes hamper in the bathroom closet.
