I am a little mad at these 2 right now. Both of them have shown their abilities to be mousers in the past, but I had to use a mouse trap to catch 2 mice that were living in the rafters of the basement.
Fred is 15 so he gets a little bit of a pass, but Ethel is only 4. I may need to cut back on the cat treats to get her motivation back.

Kobe-Ethel and Fred fine cats-but they are cats and work on CAT TIME!

Loved the pics of Max with your daughter! Max is a noble one, showing such a peaceful demeanor towards your daughter. Such a wonderful affinity between them..

These are not mine but if Tom Reingold were a dog or a cat, he might look like this.

[SUP][/SUP]Cat! who hast pass’d thy grand climacteric,
How many mice and rats hast in thy days
Destroy’d? How many tit bits stolen? Gaze
With those bright languid segments green, and prick
Those velvet ears - but pr’ythee do not stick
Thy latent talons in me - and upraise
Thy gentle mew - and tell me all thy frays,
Of fish and mice, and rats and tender chick.
Nay, look not down, nor lick thy dainty wrists -
For all thy wheezy asthma - and for all
Thy tail’s tip is nick’d off - and though the fists
Of many a maid have given thee many a maul,
Still is that fur as soft, as when the lists
In youth thou enter’dest on glass bottled wall.
John Keats

Not mine, but bike-related. Universal Cycles adopts shelter cats and has space in the shop for them, but some choose to run free. They post pictures on Facebook periodically.

Great looking felines, guys. What do you guys that have them call these cats. Color, I mean. Grey tiger? "brown mackerel tabby"? Mutt?
I mean, I have one and not that I care what she is called officially, just curious.

Thanks U-dregs. Mackerel tabby it is I guess. I love the markings on these cats. The "S" shaped line on the side of the head. The myriad of colors in the coat. Calling them "brown" or "grey" just doesn't do it justice. And of course, the white fronted tuxedo look, if they display that. White socks too on this example. The one in the above pic is a very shy girl.
Not too keen on being picked up but is slowly warming. I think she had a rough kitten-hood.

Sounds good to me D. Dude. Much better than …"brown". I sometimes gaze at my cat and see how many colors I can identify in her coat. I'm up to about 7 or 8. I know ….too much time on my hands, eh?
