Just returned to the USA from 15 days in Catalonia.. Dogs are very popular in that area.

One of the hotels that I frequent is Els Noguers, in Manresa, and they have a well known "lobby cat". The woman at the desk told me that the cat gets regular proper care at the Veterinary clinic next door to the hotel and that she is now 15-years old. Anyway, this cat goes out every morning promptly at 07:00 and lives in the gardens that surround the hotel. Returning promptly at 11:00 each evening. Spends the night in a nice bed that is located under the reception desk on a bottom shelf.

The two photos.

The cat waiting for someone to activate the doors at about 07:00 so that she can leave for the day.
The cat at about 11:30 p.m. after entering the lobby from the bar area.
That is me in the photo getting a "cat fix"... She is quite friendly actually, and the much loved companion of the night desk clerk, who told me that it is quite the boring job that is much improved with the presence of this cat.

Ohhhhhh.......I just hate it when they're so proud and bring home those kind of trophies to show you.

Hate to say it but it is a good photo. Beautiful cat.

Hi
Even though my cat can’t speak aloud, she is constantly trying to find ways to communicate with me.

Whether my cat is “meowing” because she’s hungry, or pawing at my legs because she wants attention, she finds ways to let me know exactly what she is thinking.

While I can’t read her mind, I know that she is also constantly finding new ways to tell me she loves me. And just as there are specific behaviors through which a dog communicates love, experts also report that there are specific, unique ways that our cats are saying “I love you.”

This exclusive list of behaviors delves into the incredible ways that our cats attempt to communicate their love for us.

And while I knew a few of these already, most of them were quite surprising. In fact, I was shocked by just how often my cat has been trying to show me how much she loves me!

Thanks @RosyRambler, I like the mice trophies even though I'll never figure out how the gut them so well.

The rabbit and occasional bird even though she has a bell are not encouraged.

Kobe, the feline companion I had before the one I have now liked to go down into the basement. I figured she just wanted a change of scenery since she wasn't allowed outside. But she used to just sit near the laundry room a lot and a couple of times caught and brought her 'trophy' mice upstairs to the living room. She couldn't have been more proud and happy to show us. She was rolling around on her back and making all sorts of happy cat sounds.

Luckily it only happened a couple of times, but I was horrified the first time.

A naturalist who had a column in the local paper once stated that the only "bell" that effectively prevents cats from killing birds is a 12" cast iron frying pan firmly attached to the collar.

Suddenly Fritz appeared in a spot I'd never seen one of our cats before. And one I didn't think they could get to. It took me a while to find out he climbs up (and down) via the curtains ...

That's funny, they are pretty resourceful.

Beautiful room, I love the wood ceiling and brickwork.

I love black cats. Wish one would have been available at the shelter when we picked up our cat.
But one can't be too choosy at the shelter.

Fritz is a real beauty, Non-fixie. Quite the acrobat.
How are the curtains holding up?
And, does he come down backwards? Or head first?

This was George, I had him for about 14 years. He died a couple years ago, I still miss him. I'm sure there's some pictures of him near a bike but I can't find them.

He was a profound shade of black. He also liked to perch and survey things to kill, so there's quite a few pictures like this of him looking menacing.
