My two new shop cats. Black and white one is Mickey that I captured Feral kitten last August, he's about 10 months old now. The black one is Mr.B - He was "willed" to me by a friend who passed-away after a five year cancer battle. He is five years old. They are best buddies and keep me company at work.
Both of them are so beautiful.

with his favorite human back at school Reggie needs more attention & he's not shy about asking for it. we all think it's funny when he gets on the back of this kitchen stool meowing for a petting

Here are two of our three. (The third is always on prowl).
in the upper picture:
He is Cinny, a long-hair Karelian Bobtail with an outstandard long tail, but perhaps this is the funniest pom-pom-like butt of the world with his ever question mark tail. His personality harmonizes with his appearance: a cheerful guy. In the picture, he is in his light summer coat.
and bellow:
She’s Mitzi, a little spotty Bengal. She’s a real scratch-cat. She keeps the family and the rest cats in constant tension.

We surprised our cats by getting a dog. A big one.
It took a little while, but things seem to be working out as we'd hoped. Fritz spent a couple of days in the rafters ....

... but is now back on terra firma, and Felix is already pretty much back to his usual self-absorbed self.

As is, he's enjoying the dog's food. He currently waits for the dog to finish her bowl and then goes after the left-overs, but that courteousness won't last long. He is bound to get a stern barking-to, rather sooner than later.

My wife gave Damien a small platter of snow - he loves the stuff! Me, not so much. We had a storm dump over a foot in Chicago this weekend.

On today's ride I saw: a Sasquatch, a Yeti, a gorilla (wearing a Hawaiian shirt), a horde of gerbils, a Scarecrow, a Cowardly Lion, Dorothy, a Tin Man, and a large orange cat. The orange cat was hanging out at the Tough Luck bar/rest stop on Dekum.
I love the Worst Day of the Year ride.

I have a non-bike friend who moved to your town a couple years back. Will have to ask him if he ever runs into any of these creatures. Those of us who live elsewhere must be missing something!

Edit: Aw shucks, its a Portlandia thing. Drat.

I wonder if someone could build a game that offered controls that a cat could use.
Well, there was Toonces the Driving Cat.

A good friend and former employer had made and lost a couple bazillion dollars in the video/computer game business. He also owns a large cat. I'll ask.

None of these seems to respond to a cat's input. That's what I'm interested in. I'm not sure there is potential, but there might be. In other words, given a game that responds to a cat's input, can the cat learn that its input causes events that it can control?
