All cats are beautiful to my eye. But black cats are particularly so. I was hoping to find one when we adopted Minky, but there were no black ones.
Out of the fifteen or so cats they had at the time, this grey tiger was the only one who stayed way back in her cage. Somewhat freaked. The gal told me she had been adopted, but the woman had brought her back, saying she was a bit "sketchy". I said, "WTF with that?" , and she proceeded to tell me what she meant. I know what sketchy means, I told her. I just can't believe someone would actually return a cat. "We'll take her" I said.

We have a lot of special needs kitties, I know half of the black cats from the same litter we have are bipolar, they want you too pet & love them one minute to running away in a panic because you looked at them the next.

Well, I guess since there are so many cat lovers, I will have to find the time to post pictures of my 4 felines: Delia, Brianna, Shadow and Sheeba.
So many beautiful cat pictures ! And all from bike lovers, too .

HA! That's funny. My orange cat likes her water best when it's running water. She also prefers to drink out of my hand while the water is running. I don't indulge her all that often though.

So when Gus's sister got hit by a car last year we told the girls they could bring home one of the neighbor's kittens. That was Chester. He promptly taught his sister, Chelsea how to use the cat door and where the food and litter box were. She really turned up the charm so we didn't throw her out.
If you leave a glass of water where the sun hits it she likes to watch the "sun fairies" as my girls call them. So last week I borrowed a disco ball;

This is Theodore. He is a grumpy old cat so we often we refer to him as Grumpa. He was an abandoned kitten and half dead we got him. My wife nursed him back to health with infant formula and a dropper.
This is Helios. He is enormous but a suprisingly excellent hunter.
This is Atlas. He likes cats much more than they like him.
This is Baron Alexander Von Floof. He was mighty and majestic and sadly is no longer with us.
This is Goliath. She was a tiny cat but feared nothing and no one. She only lost on battle and is sadly no longer with us.
This little fella was Ivan the Magnificent. He was born with a brain tumor and we lost him this past July.
This is Athena the day we adopted her. She is a fearless warrior that takes crap from nothing and no one. After two months, my son couldn't get over the loss of Ivan so we adopted Athena.
For a laugh, I also submit this...

OK - I'll play....here are our two: Tabby is Uma (short for Umlaut, because of a couple of funny dots on her head that frankly I can never find), and Otis (like the elevator).

The two joined our family back in 2004 when our previous cat Whatmo (as in "what mo' can a po' cat do?") died after 23 human years with us.....she is still missed.

Wow! 23 years!
That a long time for a cat.
I wonder why they all cannot reach that age, especially "indoor" cats that get good food and all the rest and attention they might need. Instead we have less appealing animals like land turtles a parrots that easily live close to and sometimes way over 40 years.......
