Yes, another Bianchi ID but this one has SLX content

Started searching early for a bike for the wife this season. This one popped up with bad pictures and Campagnolo content. Decided to go check it out without expecting much but to my surprise; it has Columbus SLX. I ended up picking it up even though its paint isn't as mint as i wanted it to be for the price.

So i'm looking for help to help ID the model and what type of Campagnolo group is this? Its a 7spd group looks complete.

All i can make out on the BB area of the serial is 124C

Many thanks

Components look to be C-Record era Chorus; that would date the bike 1988-1992. My guess is 1989-90 Super Leggera, as the 88 SL did not come with SLX tubing (SL/SP).

+1. 1989-1990 Super Leggera. I don't believe it's newer than 1990 as, IIRC, that was the last year for the selectable parallelogram angle. Serial number?

I can identify that bike: nice bike!

(Sorry.)

Nice, congrats! :thumb: I wouldn't have thought I "liked" white bikes, but that one looks pretty classy, & I DO like it. I hope your wife does too, obviously. ;)

I agree on the dating and the Chorus group but I have issues. Why is the SLX decal crooked? and oddly placed on the fork? Also in the US (and Canada I believe) the Super Leggera model was not offered in this color. What is the HS? Where is this?

I would be trying to look for the rifling real quick then go ***** at the seller.

Thanks everyone for the replies

This is located in Canada and the original LBS sticker is still on the bike. It was purchased off an older gentleman (60+), so i highly doubt anything was swapped off of it. It comes with a beefy Campagnolo headset.

Re: Bianchigirll, the decals are in the usual place. The SLX sticker is on the seat tube but additional Columbus stickers are supplemented on the fork. I've attached better pictures for reference

Nice bike just seems odd that the Columbus decal is so crooked. I hope your wife likes it, I would love to get my hands on one of those.
