'71 Raleigh Pro Seat Pin

I'm on track to finishing up my latest project, a 1971 Raleigh Professional. Unfortunately, the seat pin is missing. It seems to be an unusual type- the seat lug has threads on one side and therefore the seat pin is a one-piece bolt. Does anyone know where I can find a correct replacement?

I have a 1972 Carlton Pro that uses the same bolt. I got mine from the local ACE hardware store. The ACE hardware store owner is a Harley Motorcycle nut and a vintage Car lover. He stocks the largest assortment of chromed grade 8 Hardware anywhere. If you can't find one I can send you one. let me know.

since you have a British bike, and I'm being a nit-picker, the British term for a seat post is "seat pin"...what you are referring to is a seat binder bolt or pinch bolt, and this style (with one threaded lug eye, and one through-drilled hole in the opposite eye) is often call a Dutch-style binder. Especially by the British, who tapped them in early bikes to fit standard Imperial threaded Allen-head bolts, occasionally even Whitworth-threaded bolts (one of those will send you to the vintage motorcycle shop for a bolt or tap).
Later they went metric.

I have one, High Strength Stainless, fits in my Carlton Pro Perfectly. Treading is 6mmx1.0 Had to polish off the Knurles so it would fit in the seat cluster bolt hole. The ACE hardware store ran out of the chromed ones and is restocking them in 2 weeks. Being stainless it can be polished to a high gloss.
