Replacement chain adjuster / tensioner
I'm preparing a Trek 560 for paint (the original is in terrible condition) and I've got everything removed from the frame aside from the chain tensioners / adjusters in the rear dropouts. The dropouts are marked Suntour and the tensioner screw has a thumb head on one side and a philips head on the other. They also have a spring on them. One is in great shape, the other is completely stripped and will probably need to be replaced. I was wondering if anyone knew of a suitable replacement part?
Also, I have some dia-compe AG 500 calipers and the recessed back nuts are in rough shape. Can I replace those with these? The length measures the same. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dia-Compe-Fr...item1c2644fc8d |
On the dropout axle position adjuster screws, I am not sure what Suntour used, I would not be surprised that they are the same as Campagnolo, 3mm x .5mm
Regarding the brake mounting nuts, you could order those, but they appear cad plated and you probably could find as good or better at a local bike shop for less. Almost everyone uses 6mm x 1mm. |
Velo-Orange sells the axle alignment screws.
I've used brake nuts before for brake lever mounting. Couldn't hurt to try. |
