A Mechanical Oddity?
I saw this hanging on the wall at a shop in Brooklyn. I'm not planning to buy it; I'm just posting out of curiosity. I figured that C&V would be the forum for this.
Unfortunately the photo I took is pretty bad, and I can't make out the logo. Do any of you guys or gals know what this is? Have you ever worked on or ridden one? Did you like it? Odd propulsion system! Closest thing I can think of is a Stairmaster... http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/j...propulsion.jpg |
It looks like an Alenax. My local bike shop has two hanging in the rafters as well.

Alenax! Thank you. I suppose they're better off hanging there looking interesting than actually being ridden?
|
they pop up on my local craigslist at least a dozen times a year...the seller is always trying to pawn it off as some rare bike... but all he really has is the beta-max of bicycles... hmm beta-max.. alenax... kinda rhymes...
|
I'm going to make my own Alenax fixie someday. Make it out of wood that is; because why the hell not?

That's cool. Totally useless, but cool.
