Px-10 ux-10?

Hi all

I bought this bike in Berkeley about five years ago. When my commute got a bit longer I started using my road bike and this got neglected. I'm thinking about selling it and decided to figure out exactly what it is.

From the decals, it looks like the 1974 PX-10E in this picture https://www.cyclespeugeot.com/images/...geot_PX10E.jpg

But when I bought it (and still, though I've replaced them) it had 27 x 1 1/4" wheels, which looks like the UX-10 (same link). Any experts that can confirm or know otherwise?

I'm going to sell it -- I'm not particularly concerned by what I get for it, more that it goes to someone that might appreciate it. Does anybody have any suggestions of places or lists in the bay area that I can advertise it?

Thanks!

The only non-PX10 looking thing I see is the fork crown. But I know nothing about UX-10's. I thought they were just PX-10's with clinchers...

Looks like my PX-10 except white. I'm sure miamijim will come along and verify soon enough.

If it is indeed a UX10 built for 27" wheels, I would think it conceivable that the fork is original.
Unfortunately, someone drilled it for modern side-pull brakes.

Easily rectified [functionally] with a $1 part from rivendell

I am sure someone is waiting for you to open your PM's right now. Good on you for handing it up at a fair price.

I agree that the fork crown (flat top without the typical Reynolds fillet bar) is not consistent with a PX10. You might also check the fork blades for seams. PX10's had full R531 frames (including both main tubes and rear stays) and forks.

100% PX10 frame and fork. Not every PX10 owner was lucky enough to get the Nervex crown, some had to settle for PA10 style

Craigslist. I don't know the bay market too well but PX's have been bringing good money lately, yours is semi- hacked so who knows.
